§ 9-8.2403. Heating Requirements for Residential Occupancies.

Dwelling units, guest rooms and congregate residences shall be provided with heating
facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of seventy (70) degrees Fahrenheit
at a point three (3) feet above the floor in all habitable rooms. Such facilities
shall be installed and maintained in a safe condition and in accordance with the California
Mechanical Code and California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Division 1, Chapter
1, Subchapter 1, Article 5, Section 34. Unvented fuel-burning heaters are not permitted.
All heating devices or appliances shall be of an approved type.
