The Public Works Director may grant one (1) or more extensions of a permit, each for
a period not exceeding three (3) months, if the permittee demonstrates to the satisfaction
of the Public Works Director that circumstances beyond the permittee's control prevented
completion of the permitted work prior to permit expiration. Any such extension granted
may be subject to such conditions as the Public Works Director may deem necessary,
including but not limited to a cash deposit, security bond, or other security instrument
to insure proper and complete performance of the permitted work.
