(a)

Whenever this Code or any ordinance, resolution or other official document or action of the City of Modesto refers to or uses the names Director of Planning, Planning Director, Economic Development Director, Community Development Director, or Community and Economic Development Director, they shall be deemed to refer to the Director of Community and Economic Development.

(b)

Whenever this Code or any ordinance, resolution or other official document or action of the City of Modesto refers to or uses the names Planning Department, or Department of Planning, Department of Planning and Community Development, Economic Development Department, or Community Development Department, they shall be deemed to refer to the Community and Economic Development Department of the City of Modesto in relation to any matter under the jurisdiction of that Department.
