§ 2-3.1704. References.

(a)

Whenever this Code or any ordinance, resolution or other official document or action of the City of Modesto refers to or uses the titles Parking and Traffic Director, Director of Parking and Traffic, Engineering Services Director, Director of Engineering Services, Director of Utility Services, Public Works and Transportation Director, Operations and Maintenance Director, Engineering and Transportation Director, or Public Works Director, they shall be deemed to refer to the Director of Public Works of the City of Modesto in relation to any matter under the jurisdiction of that Director.

(b)

Whenever this Code or any ordinance, resolution or other official document or action of the City of Modesto refers to or uses the names Parking and Traffic Department or Department of Parking and Traffic; or Engineering Services Department or Department of Engineering Services; or Utility Services Department or Department of Utility Services or Public Works and Transportation Department; Operations and Maintenance Department; or Engineering and Transportation Department they shall be deemed to refer to the Public Works Department of the City of Modesto in relation to any matter under the jurisdiction of that Department.
