That piece or parcel of real property owned by the City and used for a ball park,
and situate south of the property now used for the Modesto Municipal Golf Course,
shall be known as and named "John Thurman Field." It shall be used and maintained
for athletic sports and such other activities as are for the benefit for entertainment
of the public; subject, however, to restrictions and limitations contained in this
chapter, and to such further rules and regulations as the Council may hereafter by
resolution adopt.
